About the role
Support ACLU staff attorneys and policy advocates on civil rights and civil liberties cases. Most placements are unpaid or academic-credit; a limited number of paid fellowships are available.
What you'll do
- Legal research and case memos
- Draft policy briefs and public communications
- Attend court hearings and coalition meetings
What we're looking for

- Strong writing and research skills
